"Alberta Children's Hospital Emergency"

About: Alberta Children's Hospital / Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

Well, on two occasions I had to bring my child to the Alberta Children's Hospital emergency.

The wait time was 6 - 8 hours which is completely unacceptable.

The evaluation nurses should have a GP doctor in the front with them to see patients. If it is a simple diagnosis and prescription like antibiotics or an inhaler, then it could be accomplished within minutes, rather than be made to sit in a closed and crowded room full of others with who knows what illnesses.

The opportunity for efficiency is readily apparent.
