In the past 3 to 5 years, our family doctor seems so concerned about pushing pharmaceuticals, not following up on appointments and has literally brought me in twice to try and prescribe me something that, in my opinion, I don’t need, as well as my 19 and 14 year old daughters.
In our experiences, she has refused to give my daughter a referral to a gynecologist, even though she bleeds so much her iron levels get scary, almost to the point of infusion and birth control is not helping which is what she thinks will.
What has changed with my family doctor? Why does it seem she has become more focused on prescribing for pharmaceutical companies instead of being a family doctor?
I really thought we won the lottery with this family doctor as we all know they’re hard to find, unfortunately, we are now on the hunt for another one.
