"Disappointing Emergency Department"

About: Misericordia Community Hospital / Emergency

(as the patient),

Thought I broke my wrist. 8 hour wait is understandable and resident and Doctor were terrific.

That said as a hospital that dominated the news when they renovated their ED, it was disappointing.  Streamlined processes  - I don't think so.  Brought in staff in wait room showing care and compassion - I don't think so. I heard caregivers frustrated and angry with people in the beds surrounding the waiting room.

It must be exhausting as a Healthcare professional but I have had experience in hospital efficiency and I believe this new process is an epic fail.  I feel patient care is compromised  and emotions are running visibly high on the professionals.
