"Surgical Wait Times."

About: Alberta Health Services

(as the patient),

My husband had spinal surgery for stenosis approximately three years ago, and had a terrible outcome. I believe if he had not waited so long, his outcome would have been much better.

I am now in an 18-month wait to see an orthopedic surgeon because I have a compressed ulnar nerve. And this is just for the initial assessment. Wonder how long the wait will be to have the decompression done.

Unacceptable.
