"My Son's Appendix Bursting"

There is always so many negative comments about our hospital,(Fort Saskatchewan) so let me share my amazing experience!

My son was admitted with appendicitis (after being released from another hospital- not impressed to say the least) and the doctors and staff went above and beyond! They kept us over night to watch his pain, checking in on him every 2-3 hours, and made sure he was comfortable until we could get in for an ultrasound in the morning. They made sure he first in, and that as his mom I to had a bed! He spiked a fever in the morning and his blood pressure went a little high for their liking, the doctors and nurses were immediately on it and didn’t leave his side until it stabilized. 

The doctor (her name was Nicole ) may be the sweetest human I’ve met in years, she immediately wrote up a note excusing him from his diploma exam while we waited for surgery. She made sure I understood every test, conversation and diagnosis. My son is terrified of needles and they numbed his arms for every IV and blood work (at 17 years old!) when I say they went above and beyond, I mean it! 

All the nurses were kind, compassionate, caring, and very sweet to both of us!
