"Nurse Practitioner Providers Rural Patients Care"

About: WestView PCN WestView PCN / Virtual Care Clinic

(as the patient),

I dont have a family doctor and have used Westview PCN/Jessica Chong for my Class 1 drivers license medical forms in the past. Now I am using her for more general health stuff. I live rural and being able to do the initial appointment virtually and then get bloodwork/xrays and things done prior to a follow up appointment saves me a lot of time/travel. Jessica is also very easy to talk to and thorough, it doesnt generally feel rushed. In my limited experience seeing doctors/using walk-in clinics i would far prefer to use the Westview PCN office than to try and do a traditional walk-in place or find a "whatever i can get" family doctor. I will continue to use Westview PCN for as long as i live in the area and Jessica is able to help me as a nurse practitioner.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience! We’re glad to hear how helpful Jessica has been. Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are a great resource for patients who are waiting to find a permanent family doctor. Wait times to see an NP are often shorter, and seeing the same person each time gives you better follow-up and care.

Our Virtual Care Clinic is really helpful for people living in rural areas because it saves travel time and still gives you quality care. And if an in-person visit is ever needed, we make sure to arrange that.

It’s great to hear Jessica and the Virtual Care Clinic are making things easier for you!
