My husband moved into CollegeSide in October 2023. This was a scary and transformative time for both of us, as we would be living apart for the first time in 50 years, but I just couldn't provide the "round the clock" care he needed anymore. He settled into his new home very comfortably and was soon calling it home. From day one, the staff - LPNs, Nurses, Cleaners, Gerry, Veronica, Portia - Everyone! - were caring, patient, funny and smart! They really know how to look after and manage older people. Again - so very very patient! My husband can be grumpy as he is developing dementia, and yet the Bethany CollegeSide Team know exactly how to speak to him and support him. Even though I know the staff are soooo busy, they take time to listen to his stories. My husband is truly seen and supported, so I dont have to worry about him as much. The food is great (even though my husband thinks he is a food critic, he really eats well at Bethany CollegeSide) and one of his favourite things is the ice water (the staff are always bringing him glasses!)! Simple Pleasures. My husband loves the dining room and how every window looks out at trees. For more than 2 years, Bethany CollegeSide has been a wonderful, safe and caring home for my husband and a true life-saver for me as his primary care-giver.
