I came to Alberta from BC very sick. I was having visual and audio hallucinations. I had been sick for over a year in BC but no doctor could diagnosed me right. I tried to end my life a few times. When I came here I was put into the hospital right away. Your amazing doctors diagnosed me with Schizophrenia. They put me on medication and had me stabilized within 3 weeks. It was so hard on my family before I was stabilized. They ensured I showered and ate and helped with all my ADL(activities of daily living) . After I was stabilized my family supported me to go back to school and get a career that suited me and was a dream job of mine. I passed with As and Bs. I am now a thriving Certified Health Care Aide. I was able to buy a home and vehicle. I’m so thankful to Alberts Staff and their compassion. They didn’t make me feel like I was just another problem to push aside. Thank you for saving my life. I have put down my roots in Alberta now. I’ll never leave. As the saying goes.. I’m Strong and Free.
