"Caring Staff at Bethany Care Home-Harvest Hills"

About: Bethany Harvest Hills

(as a relative),

My mom was at Harvest Hills Bethany Care Home for just over a year and passed away recently. We were impressed with her care at this facility.   When we would visit she would often have a tea, water, juice and/or snack at hand.   Often music was playing when we visited and mom loved the activities there (bingo, music, crafts, visits from children’s groups, etc.).  Most amazing though, were the staff.   The attention I saw them provided the residents was amazing and it was provided in a caring, loving fashion.   It wasn’t unusual to see them physically interact with the resident (hold their hand, put an arm around them and even offer hugs).   When my mom passed we were overwhelmed with their caring, their stories, their hugs and their tears.    They made the facility seem more like a real home, instead of a long term care facility.   They treated my mom as if she were a member of their family.   Truly amazing!

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and please accept our sincere condolences on your mom’s passing. We appreciate your trust in us during her time at Harvest Hills.

It means a great deal to hear that she enjoyed the activities, music, and daily comforts, and that these made her feel at home. Your comments about the team’s kindness and the way they interacted with her and other residents - offering a hand to hold, a gentle touch, or a hug- are very meaningful. This is the type of compassionate care we strive to provide every day.

Your acknowledgement of the support shown to your family at the end of her life is especially appreciated. The team remembers your mom and your family with warmth, and your feedback reinforces the importance of the work they do.

Thank you again for sharing your story. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this time.

Pushpinder and Isleta
