"Post Partum Depression"

About: McLeod River PCN- Whitecourt

(as the patient),

After I had my first baby I began feeling super depressed and anxious. Courtney checked in with me for the baby checks and could tell right away I wasn’t my normal self. She took a lot of time speaking with me and gave me some contact info to follow up with counselling. I’m just so relieved that I didn’t “need” to bring it up, that it was noticed and I mattered.

Thank you so much for your story. Sometimes it can be hard to ask for what you really need. I am glad that staff from McLeod River Primary Care noticed that you were not quite yourself and were able to provide the support you needed. We do genuinely care about our patients, and always try to provide the best care we can. I will pass on your gratitude to the provider.
