"Assistance That Made a Real Difference"

I needed to find out whether I could receive some assistance as a senior through the assistance program. I require special shoes because I walk with braces. I have shoes made specifically for my feet, and they cost was about $500. I have to pay this every two years, which is a lot. My question was whether any of this might be covered. The staff member didn’t know the answer right away, but she was very helpful. She took a copy of my bill and said she would submit it to see if the cost could be covered, along with my travel and meals for that day.

She has always been very helpful, as have all the staff there. I truly appreciate them so much. Everything has gone very well through this program. My primary care is in McLeod River, and I’ve had a really positive experience overall.
