"Primary Care in Alberta"

About: Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy

(as a service user),

Finally a website to voice my concerns over the lack of primary care in Alberta. Not that something is fundamentally wrong, but the access and communication between dr's, patients and care givers needs to be addressed. My kids and parents have suffered due to this deficit. There need to be clear lines of communication in a healthcare journey. The access to primary care in Alberta has been an issue for many, many years. The addition of Pharmacist led primary care clinics has been fantastic, and has saved the day in a few situations I have heard of, so kudos on that!

Thank you for choosing to share your experience of care with us about access to primary care and how you view the addition of pharmacist led primary care clinics.

To make an impact in health care, we work to notify all health service providers when indicated in the story. Unfortunately, the service provider was not included in this story.
