I was sent there with a compound fracture I was not to put weight of any kind on my leg. To me the place was a disgrace, I found the staff hard to deal with, I waited hours to be taken to the bathroom. I developed rashes on my bottom. I needed help and waited for at least an hour. In my room I thought the floor was disgustingly dirty I never saw it cleaned or washed and smelled like urine. To me the food was disgusting and I could only eat the oatmeal and salad lost a ton of weight. I found the physio unhelpful, I wondered if they look at the report from my surgeon stating I could not put weight on my leg, as this was always an argument. The cast clinic team notice the infection of my leg when I went, I believe it was because my incision was not cleaned.
In the several months I was there I noticed the caregivers seemed to often be sitting in a corner texting on their phones.
I am home and able to walk because I did what my surgeon told me to do.
I had such bad rashes, as I only got 2 depends in 24 hrs and to bad if you filled it with urine or bowel movement you just sat in it …. This has been the worse part of my life. I would like to see this place cleaned out with fresh staff, fully cleaned, and have the proper people who look in to see what’s going on.
