"There is Help for Weight Loss and Mental Health"

About: Aspen PCN Aspen PCN / Exercise Assessments, Programs, Group Classes

(as the patient),

I am a senior and found myself not able to lose weight, no matter how hard I tried. I seen my Dr. who advised me to see a local weight specialist and exercise professional. These appointments were a real eye opener on how the brain works with how we lose and gain weight. The exercise had me joining a senior exercise group, which also met my needs. I am amazed and truly wish more people struggling with the never-ending diet programs and magic pills for weight loss had access to this information. I do wonder why this is not out there, advertised, or made more accessible to soooo many people struggling.

I am also currently getting help with the grief of recently losing my spouse and learning to cope with loss, also on the advice of my Dr. I was not aware teams like this are here for all of us who might not even realize or want to accept that. There is help, even what we think are small hurdles or continued failures in weight loss, mental issues or even help to cope with everyday challenges can be. In only 2 weeks, I feel more empowered with myself on this next path of my life. With the continued support and help I am now getting, I am confident in time, I will no longer be a shadow of myself.

The advertising can give people false hope in succeeding with weight loss. It can wear you down, bring you down to hopelessness and even giving up and thus blaming yourself. Then try again and again with renewed hope, that this time you will succeed and not gain the weight back.

In my opinion we need more weight, exercise, and mental support to enlighten people to get the help that makes sense and works. I find it's a struggling world we live in now, and that makes us forget about slowing down and seeing our own selves and liking what we see.

Thank-you to all these professionals who have chosen the careers they have, to help the struggling population that really do need to see them. Start with your Doctor. They are the spine to this team of caring professionals. To help you learning how your brain holds the power and how to get your brain to work for you is the ticket. I for one can't wait to take one more step forward...for me!!!!

Thank you for sharing such a personal and inspiring part of your journey. Your honesty about the challenges of weight loss, grief, and finding the right support will resonate with many people who may be facing similar struggles.

It is encouraging to hear that your doctor's referrals led you to a team of professionals who helped you understand that lasting health is about much more than willpower. Weight management, physical activity, and emotional well-being are deeply connected, and your experience highlights the value of addressing all of these together.

Your willingness to seek support while coping with the loss of your spouse is also a powerful reminder that asking for help is a sign of strength. Grief can affect every aspect of our lives, and having compassionate professionals to guide us through that process can make a meaningful difference.

We're especially pleased to hear that, after only two weeks, you already feel more empowered and hopeful. While every person's journey is unique and progress takes time, building a strong support system and celebrating each step forward can have a lasting impact.

Our management team will address your feedback regarding awareness of the services offered through Aspen PCN. Our goal is to ensure that, as an organization, we maximize our impact in improving our patients' overall health and wellness.

Thank you for encouraging others to start by speaking with their doctor. Your story reminds us that effective care often comes from a team of dedicated professionals working together to support the whole person—not just the number on the scale.

We wish you continued strength, healing, and success as you move forward on this new chapter. One step at a time, those steps add up, and we hope your story inspires others to reach out, seek support, and discover that they don't have to face these challenges alone.
