"Timely Testing, Better Care"

I recently had the need to have some blood work completed as well as an ultrasound.  I had the blood work done at an AHS Lab Service location and the imaging completed at Mayfair Diagnostics.  In both instances, results were posted on my AHS Connect Portal within 24 hours - the ultrasound results were posted within hours of me leaving Mayfair. 

While my in person experience at Mayfair was far more efficient than the blood collection clinic, both results were delivered quickly to my portal.

Having timely and full access to my results makes a huge difference to me.  It takes away so much of the stress and uncertainty that comes with waiting.  Even when a result means follow up, I would much rather know than spend days waiting for a phone call that I may miss.

I am not sure if healthcare providers always realize just how important this kind of timely access can be for patients. It is not just about getting the results quickly but it also seems to give me the confidence to discuss these results with my doctor and be more involved in my care and decisions that need to be made.
