"Helpful Social Workers Through PCN Services"

About: South Calgary PCN Wellness Centre / Social Work

(as a service user),

Hi

I am in the position to be able to have two good social workers.

I have a problem hearing my social worker on the phone because I have an app through Wi-Fi and cannot afford a phone.

Generally speaking, I found the social worker to be very helpful in terms of what I need and explaining how things are supposed to go. I do feel that I need some things but that is not the fault of the social workers, it is the fault of the people who make the decisions who will not fund what I need. As a result, it's a big inconvenience to my life.

I do not have family, they are either older, live somewhere else or passed away. I still need the help from other people and generally speaking, as a grown adult, I do find that she is helpful.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear about the challenges you’ve faced accessing the supports and resources you need, as well as the difficulties connecting by phone. We understand how these barriers can add inconvenience and stress to your daily life.

We’re glad to hear that you’ve found your social worker helpful in explaining processes and supporting you with your needs. We also recognize how important it is to have reliable support, particularly when family isn’t available to help.
