You Submitted Your Story to Care Opinion, Now What?

First, thank you for submitting your story to Care Opinion Canada! We are excited that you found our platform and were open to share your story. Your willingness to share patient feedback will allow for constructive conversations to happen and hopefully lead to systemwide improvement.  


Once the Care Opinion moderation team has moderated your story, it will be publicly reported on the Care Opinion website. The moderation team will attempt to reach the service provider(s) to encourage them to provide a response. If the service provider is an active user of the Care Opinion platform, there will generally be a response provided within a short period of time. If the service provider is not an active user, the moderation team will still notify the provider and encourage a response. The moderation team will always attempt to encourage conversations between patients, family members, and health or care providers, but there may be times where a response from a provider cannot be obtained.  


If a response from a service provider is received, the response will still be moderated and published using the same moderation principles. A copy of the response will go to the storyteller, and the service provider can advise if any changes were made due to constructive feedback. If positive feedback is provided, the moderation team will do their best to ensure that the right individuals are notified.  


The Care Opinion Moderation team is committed to ensuring that patient feedback can be submitted in a safe manner. Anonymity and transparency are fundamental to this process. Every story submitted on the Care Opinion platform could be considered an opportunity to improve, an opportunity to praise, and an opportunity to increase awareness.
