"Found Support at My First Appointment at SCPCN Wellness Center in Chaparral"

About: South Calgary PCN Wellness Centre

(as the patient),

I just met with Therapist Lila, she was very friendly and she cared about my concerns, explained me how we could start some therapies called ART that could help me with some Traumatic experiences that I lived. I felt pretty optimistic that she can help me out. I do wish the government would extend more help for these treatment.

She also left me an assignment about writing a eulogy about myself. How I would like to hear in my eulogy. I guess that would say something about my personal values?

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.

We’re really glad to hear that your first visit with Lila felt supportive and that you left feeling optimistic about the path forward. Feeling heard, understood, and involved in your care is so important—especially when working through past traumatic experiences—and it’s encouraging to know that came through in your session.

It’s great to hear you were introduced to Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), and that Lila has begun guiding you in a thoughtful and meaningful way. The reflective exercise you mentioned can be a powerful way to explore personal values and what matters most to you.

We also appreciate your comments about access to care. Feedback like yours helps highlight the importance of continued support for mental health services.

Thank you again for sharing your story—we wish you all the best as you continue your journey.
